{"id":894,"date":"2016-04-12T12:25:58","date_gmt":"2016-04-12T16:25:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/diap.art.ccny.cuny.edu\/?p=894"},"modified":"2019-12-11T09:16:41","modified_gmt":"2019-12-11T14:16:41","slug":"042116-ralph-lemon-visiting-artist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/art.ccny.cuny.edu\/diap\/?p=894","title":{"rendered":"04\/21\/16 Ralph Lemon visiting artist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Please join us for a conversation with Ralph Lemon Thursday April 21st at 12:30PM in the DIAP Studio<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The event will be held in the DIAP Studio, Shepard Hall room 408.<\/p>\n<p>Open and free to the public<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ralph Lemon<\/strong> (Creator, Choreographer and Director)\u00a0is a director, choreographer, writer, visual artist and curator, and the Artistic Director of Cross Performance, a company dedicated to the creation of cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary performance and presentation. His most recent works include the innovative dance\/film project <em>Four Walls<\/em> (2012), and <em>How Can You Stay in The House All Day and Not Go Anywhere<\/em>?\u00a0(2008-2010), a work with live performance, film and visual art that toured across the U.S. The immersive visual art installation, <em>Meditation<\/em>, which was part of <em>How Can You Stay<\/em>\u2026, was purchased for the permanent collection of the Walker Art Center in 2012. In January 2011, a re-imagined section of <em>How Can You Stay<\/em>\u2026 was performed at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City in conjunction with<em> On Line: Drawing Through the Twentieth Century<\/em>.
