Students pursuing the concentration in Art Museums Studies are required to complete two internships, and students pursuing the concentration in Art Museum Education must complete one internship. Other MA students may choose to do an internship for credit as well.

Students must complete the internship application form to register for the internship, and forms should be submitted at least two weeks before the semester begins.

After completing the internship, the student must have the supervisor send the faculty mentor a letter indicating that the student worked the equivalent of 30 days, along with a description of the duties of the internship and an evaluation of the student’s overall performance. The student also must write a three-five page paper analyzing her/his experience.
