BA in Art

(Studio Art, Art History, Photography, Digital Design & Art Education options)

For students concentrating in Art Education who are interested in pursuing New York State Teaching Certification in Visual Arts, you must speak to the Art Education Program Director.

BFA in Electronic Design & Multimedia

A portfolio review is required for admission to the BFA program. The portfolio should demonstrate aptitude; finished, professional work is not a criterion. The committee is looking for raw ability, talent and motivation.

MA in Art History, Museum Studies Concentration

A minimum of nine-twelve undergraduate credits in art history (or the equivalent) beyond the introductory level.

The MA program requires a writing sample and two letters of recommendation in addition to the admission application to City College.

Interview and visit to campus desirable.

MFA in Digital & Interdisciplinary Art Practice (DIAP)

The MFA program requires a portfolio submission in addition to admission to City College. Applicants may be asked to appear for a personal interview by the departmental Graduate Committee.
