03/17/16 DIAP visiting speaker Michael Connor
Michael Connor, Rhizome‘s Artistic Director, will come for a talk to the Digital & Interdisciplinary Art Practice MFA Program on Thursday March 17th at 12:15PM. In his talk he will address issues of curating digital media.
Michael Connor has curated exhibitions and projects for Yarat, Baku, Cornerhouse, Manchester, the Museum of Moving Image, New York, ACMI, Melbourne, Bell Lightbox, Toronto, FACT, Liverpool, MocaTV, and BFI, London. His writing has appeared in ‘Camille Henrot: Elephant Child,’ ‘You Are Here: Art After the Internet’ (Cornerhouse), Digital Video Abstraction (UCPress), ArtAsiaPacific, and Artforum.com. Connor has lectured widely on topics relating to art and technology. Before joining Rhizome he worked as Curator at FACT, Liverpool and Head of Exhibitions at BFI Southbank in London.
