DIAP MFA Program conversation series “Money Talks”

Tuesday May 19th at 12:30PM – “The price of value”

The conversation will be held between Noah Horowitz (Author of  “Value-Added: Contemporary Art in a Global Marketplace” and Executive Director of the Armory Art Fair) and Suhail Malik ( “The value of everything”, Texte zur Kunst, Bd 93. He is a writer and holds a Readership in Critical Studies at Goldsmiths, London, where he is Program Co-Director of the MFA Fine Art. Malik is also Visiting Faculty at the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College, New York)

Following the last conversation which dealt with the financial implications of a socially engaged practice, this conversation will focus on value in art, its creation, its manipulation and its price. What are ways to trade priceless objects and experiences and what impact does it have?
